The Galle Fort. Sri Lanka

The Galle Fort is a fortification located in Galle city (south coast of Sri Lanka) first built by Portuguese in the late of 16th century and the modification was in the 17th century by the Dutch. At the end the British took over the Fort on February 1796.

The heritage value of the Fort has been recognized by the UNESCO and the site has been inscribed as a cultural heritage Unesco world heritage sit
